Did pregnancy cause your silver jewelry to tarnish?

Bun & Bub’s Mama asked:

I’m almost 20 weeks pregnant. Recently, I noticed that my bracelet (a sterling silver bracelet that I’ve been wearing regularly for years) is tarnished. So, I cleaned it with tarnish polish and the next day, it was tarnished again.

I did a google search on this issue and could only find a few other pregnant women complaining of this happening, but no explanation (other than the general “hormonal” reasons).

Has this happened to anyone? I don’t remember it happening with my other pregnancies. While it’s not totally bothersome, I am quite curious and want to make sure that I’m not deficient of a certain vitamin (By the way, I take a prenatal vitamin everyday).

Thanks.

How to clean Fire damage to pots or jewelry?

perfect_picasso asked:

We recently lost everything in the San Diego fires and only over the past weekend went through what we found in the debris. There are several pots and momentos that would be nice to keep out as reminders, but want to clean off charring and ’stuff’ that is melted onto the edges. Is there a special solution of chemical to do this with?
How about gold and silver?

how can i clean my jewelry?

jfoxyy asked:

i went into a jacuzzi and it turned my silver tiffany bracelets a brownish color and it took out the luster. is there anyway i can clean it without damaging it and without taking it to tiffanys? i have a sweet 16 tonight and i want to wear my jewelry, so i need something quick. tiffanys takes at least 24 hours to clean the jewelry so at this point it is too late. thanks!
